Initial Call or Meeting

FREE

We want to start by getting to know you and giving you a chance to get to know us! After all, if we work together, we need to be able to work together. Plus, this initial call allows us to hear what’s going on, what you need, and whether or not we’re a good fit to help. If not, we’re always happy to recommend someone else.

Example:

We know we have network issues, but we aren't sure what they are or how to fix them.

Example:

We know the audio on our live stream isn't the best, and we want to make it better.

Full Evaluation

Project Dependent, Usually Around $300-750.

The full evaluation is where we come in and figure out what’s wrong. Sometimes it’s simple enough that we fix it then and there. Sometimes it requires more time, tools, and work. If that’s the case, we write up a report of what we found and recommend a solution. Oftentimes, we can provide that solution, so we’ll also give you a quote. But the final decision is up to you. The price of the full evaluation depends on how complex the problem is and how long we estimate it will take to diagnose.

Example: I recently evaluated a wireless system that was interrupting services. It was determined that a frequency coordination was needed (putting the frequencies in use on less-busy sections of the RF spectrum). Some of the receivers also had their squelch set too low and occasionally opened to let noise through. In this case, I was able to fix the solution in one visit, but also attended a service afterward just to monitor and be sure.

Example: A location was having system-wide network issues. We evaluated for half a day and then determined a course of action with a project plan that the client could implement themselves or bring us in to do. They decided to bring us in to implement this plan. After a week, things were back to normal and with better documentation!

One-Off Projects

Tech Support

Is a piece of gear broken? We can fix that.

Is there a lighting fixture that isn’t working quite right? We can fix that.

The wireless mics are popping and dropping out! Great dance moves, but not great for wireless mics, we can fix that.

Coaching

How do we recruit more team members? We can help with that!

Why is my team struggling? We can help figure that out and help you through it.

We have a great audio console, but we don’t feel like we’re using it to its full potential. Can you help? We do that!

Integration

It’s time to replace our audio console, but we don’t know where to start. We can guide you through it or take care of it entirely depending on what level of help you want.

How do we start using a teaching TV? We can implement that and train your team how to leverage it.

Retainers

Tech Support Retainer

A Tech Support Retainer means we act as your first line of defense when tech issues come up. We provide message, phone, and, when needed, in-person support. We maintain a ticket system for you and can fix most issues that pop up, leaving you to get back to the other things you have to do.

Coaching Retainer

A Coaching Retainer means we stay on for a while to see transitions through or coach a leader who is navigating a difficult process.

One example - managing tensions between a worship leader and tech leader.

My favorite example - If you’ve had big-picture goals that never seem to come to fruition, we love to help you and your team set incremental, measurable goals, and achieve them.

Maintenance Retainer

A Maintenance retainer means we take care of your gear for you. Dust removal, cleaning, firmware updates, and remote backups are all parts of a maintenance retainer. Most lighting fixture manufacturers suggest cleaning the fixture every 2 weeks. =) That’s not usually realistic (or necessary), but it also should be done more than every few years.

The Miscellaneous Services

Project Management

Project Dependent, usually either project-based or hourly, starting at $75/hr.

All of the projects above require some level of project management, but I offer project management on an as-needed basis for things that don’t fit one of the molds above. Depending on the complexity of the project a project plan will usually include a defined scope, stakeholders, budget, work breakdown structure, project log, and more.

Example:

We know we need some graphics and videos for a capital campaign, but we don’t know where to start, what to budget, or how long it should take.

Example:

We are considering merging with another organization and have a rough idea of why and when, but don’t know how.

Freelance AV Labor

Position Dependent, usually $550 day-rate, $300 half-day-rate.

I’ve done some form of freelance AV for the last 15 years. I have more details on my experience and links to book me on a separate page, click the button below.
